About Curtis Lyman

He is also a Partner/owner and Senior Managing Director with HighTower Advisors, a leading advisors-owned financial services company. Curtis Lyman has 30 years of experience in financial services and business development. He is committed to the belief that clients are best served from a position of integrity, free from any conflicts of interest.

After graduating cum laude from Hiram College in Ohio with a BA in Economics and Sociology, Curtis Lyman furthered his studies at the Case Western Reserve University of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor. Mr. Lyman was a partner at the law firm of Lyman & Lyman in Albion, New York, from 1977 to 1985.

Moving into the financial sector, Curtis Lyman established himself as an asset to Merrill Lynch, earning his Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses. He is also licensed by the Florida Department of of Insurance for Life, Health and Variable Insurance. Mr. Lyman served as Founding President and CEO for the Raymond James Trust Company, President of the STI Private Capital Group, and President and CEO of Wilmington Trust, FSB. Mr. Lyman was Senior Vice President for Lehman Brothers, where he was one of a select group of advisors entrusted with managing wholly discretionary accounts for key high-net-worth clients.

With the Lyman Group in partnership with HighTower Advisors, Curtis Lyman seeks to provide security, transparency, and renewed confidence for investors during a time of economic uncertainty. When not working, he leads an active lifestyle, enjoying golf, tennis, skiing, swimming, cycling, competitive driving, and kayaking. Mr. Lyman is a committed member of his community, contributing to numerous charitable organizations.
